No snakes yet.....

but here is a black widow (poison) spider. I didn't put a quarter by it for scale as I didn't want to get too near, but he was a fairly sizeable chappy.

Are you sure it's not a female? I've thought that in this particular spider species the ladies are the biggies. Well, impressive photo, anyway.
